The Swing Shift Shuffle is a radio program of swing, big band, jazz, boogie woogie and other popular music from the 1930's and 40's that airs every Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (US Central Time) on WEVL 89.9 FM in Memphis, Tennessee, with a live webcast at wevl.org. In addition to the radio show, this blog is dedicated to all aspects of the Swing Era, including art, automobiles, cartoons, comics, history, movies, music, news, science, technology, and anything else that happened during that time. Mr. Terrific, Plus The Case Of The Missing Blogger


This story, posted on Four Color Shadows, involves the first version of Mr. Terrific.  I was not very familiar with this character, much less that there were two versions, although I had heard him mentioned.  Mr. Terrific had a photographic memory, Olympian athletic skills, and a mastery of the martial arts.  He disguised these abilities in the form of Terry Sloane, a pampered, wealthy investor. 

Now for the case of the Missing Blogger.  I occasionally miss a day or two here and there without comment, but as you may have noticed, I was out for a week with no word as to why.  Simply put, I got really sick.  The miracle of modern medicine got me through it, and I'm back to production.
