I Charleston the World is a phenomenon in which people film themselves doing the Charleston in front of famous places around the world. Well, our friends at the Red Hot Lindy Hop have joined the fun by producing "I Charleston Memphis," a video of RHLH dancers performing at some of Memphis' best known locales. I did not think it was possible, but this both Rocks AND Swings! Go RHLH! If the City ever needs a promotional video, here it is.
You too can join this fun by meeting up with the Red Hot Lindy Hop for the weekly lesson and session at the Rumba Room this Friday night. Free beginner lesson at 7:00 p.m. Free admission before 7:00 and $5 thereafter. Dress like you are going out!

The University of Memphis RHLH chapter hosts a free beginner swing dance lesson every Monday (except school holidays) in Room 254 of the Roane Field House. Beginner lesson from 7:00-8:00 p.m., and social dancing and practice until 9:30. More information here.
