World Land Speed Record In 1935

The People History reminds us that on September 3, 1935, Sir Malcolm Campbell set a new land speed record for the second time that year.  Campbell drove his 2500 horsepower Bluebird to over 300 MPH on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.  His previous record was 276 MPH.  Below is a photo of the Bluebird at Daytona Beach.
