London In High Resolution Color - (Sorry) "Colour"

Seeing color photographs of a period mostly associated with black and white changes ones perception of the era.  How To Be A Retronaut posted a series of high resolution Kodachrome photographs of London in the late 1940s.  I looked down the street below 40 years after this photo was taken.
