In an effort to increase the educational benefit of the SSS blog, I thought it might be useful to broaden our voCABulary by a regular, methodical study of entries from Cab Calloway's Jive Dictionary. Today's Jive of the Day from Professor Calloway: A hummer (n.) -- exceptionally good. Ex., "Man, that boy is a hummer."
Not to be confused with a large SUV based on the platform of a military transport vehicle.
