I just started following the blog of the
National World War II Museum in New Orleans (formerly the D-Day Museum). There, I found this interesting story about
Operation Carpetbagger, in which specially modified B-24 Liberator bombers made clandestine, low altitude nighttime men and materiel drops to the French resistance.
